Summer Day Camp 2025:
“Birds, Butterflies and Dragons”

*Registration opens at 10:00am on Saturday February 8, 2025.

Wonderland Creative Center’s Summer Art Program is a unique experience in which children learn outdoors about nature, animals, world cultures, artists, art history and how to use quality art materials. This summer we will explore the biology and rich cultural stories of birds, butterflies and dragons, creating images of our favorite flying creatures through sculpture, painting, collage and mask-making.

Ours is a holistic approach to learning. In WCC’s backyard art studio, children will hear incredible books about birds, butterflies and dragons and dive into thoughtful art projects using artist-quality materials. Mindfulness and movement meditation are a daily part of the program, as are hikes through the woods and free nature play along the shores of the Mississippi River. Adding to the fun, our young artists have the meaningful experience of putting on a show, hosting friends and family as they display their artworks in our outdoor gallery at week’s end (art shows are held each Friday of the program from 3:00-4:00pm).

Choose from these four weeks:

  • Week One: July 7-11, 2025

  • Week Two: July 14-18, 2025

  • Week Three: August 4-8, 2025

  • Week Four: August 11-15, 2025

For Students ages 6-12.

“WCC’s summer art camp is magical! Cassandra’s thoughtful curriculum allowed the kids to learn and make art in nature, and gave them the freedom to create and to play at their own pace. The kids were all very proud and excited to show their work to family and friends at the art show at the end of the week. A truly unique summer camp that my daughter loved!”
