INTERNSHIP

Internships with the Wonderland Creative Center are unique because interns have time to make their own artwork while also helping younger students!

Expectations include:

  • keeping the art shed tidy and stocked (sharpen pencils, cut art papers…)

  • help younger students with their art (drawing, painting, clay, collage, masks…)

  • clean up throughout the day (wash brushes, fill outdoor sinks, sweep the floor…)

  • organize class materials on the work tables

  • help younger students (tie a shoe, find their sketchbook…)

  • Interns stay the whole day from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Interns have a lot of time to create their own amazing drawings, paintings and sculptures and their artwork is always inspiring and exciting to the young artists. This is a great opportunity to build a resume and Wonderland Creative Center has had many students go on to work at the Walker, Art Institute, daycare and teaching programs. Interns also have the meaningful experience of displaying their artwork in our big backyard gallery art show on Friday from 3:00-4:00!

  • Internships available for teenagers ages 13-16.

  • Arts supplies and materials fee: $80

What parents are saying:

“Cassandra’s art classes and camps have been a profound influence on our daughter’s development as a sensitive and creative soul. We have joyously been in community with the Wonderland Creative Center since our daughter’s elementary years. Now returning as a teen intern, our daughter delights in guiding the younger children attending camp!”
